Swtor Guide And Swtor Builds That Work!

Swtor has been out for a little over a month now, And I am sure that many of you will have tried a few different swtor builds for your character hoping to find one that suits you and what you want your character to do. The truth is not every build works that well…

There is a difference between builds which are good for PvE or swtor builds which are good for PvP and with the recent swtor patch 1.1 some of the older builds which worked very well are now not so effective. Some classes was not affected but some were. If you are looking for the best builds for your class then you should check out Swtor Savior, They have found and created some of the best Swtor builds I have seen and used.

Those of you that have been reading my blog know that I play a Jedi Guardian and I would like to share the build I use for PvP. One thing I do which most guardians do not is change form mid fight. From Shi Co to Soreu which is the tanking form.

Here is the build:

pvpbuild Swtor Guide And Swtor Builds That Work!

As you can see this is a focus build. This is a DPS guardian build for PvP although you will be using your tanking form a fair amount to keep yourself alive.

The main idea of this build is to build Singularity by using Force Stasis or Force Exhaustion then using Force Leap or Zealous Leap to get Felling Blow. When you have Felling Blow and 4 stacks of Singularity your force sweep will do a lot of damage.

This build will work with the Sith Warrior also if you spec up the rage tree. You can also do a build very close to this on a Marauder and a Sentinal because Focus/Rage is the shared tree for JK/SW.

This build works very well in PvP and is still effective after the lastest patch. If you are looking for more great swtor builds then I recommend Swtor Savior, they have excellent builds for all classes and for all roles. Swtor Savior also contains a Leveling and Credit/Craft Guide which are top quality.

Swtor Races Update

We are close to the Swtor launch and even closer to early access for those of you that have pre-ordered the game, And lets be honest who has’nt. But for people that still have not played the game in Beta I wanted to do a Swtor Races Update. You may remember my earlier post Swtor Playable Races. This was way back in August 2010 and I just wanted to do a more updated version for people that are still wondering what races are playable in Swtor.150px ZabrakRace Swtor Races Update

Due to my recent access to beta Swtor I can now give accurate information, At the time of the last post the playable Swtor races was all speculation and hype being built up by varying sources. For those of you that read that post back in August last year you will see that I was not far off.

Confirmed Swtor Races

  • Human
  • Zabrak
  • Chiss
  • Cyborg
  • Twi’lek
  • Miraluka
  • Mirialan
  • Rattataki
  • Sith Pure Blood

Unfortunately other races such as Wookies will not be playable in Swtor, Which is a real shame since many people would of liked to see Wookies in Swtor as playable characters.

Swtor Race And Class Restrictions

Also as expected some races are only available for certain classes. I know for many of you this may be an issue and we can only hope that Bioware decide to open up more races and turn away from class restriction. Of course this has to be within reason, Can’t have a Sith Pure Blood Jedi now can we.

Swtor Classes And Playable Races:

  • Jedi Knight – Human, Twi’lek, Zabrak, Miraluka and Mirialan
  • Jedi Consular – Human, Twi’lek, Zabrak, Miraluka and Mirialan
  • Smuggler – Human, Twi’lek, Zabrak, Mirialan, Cyborg
  • Trooper – Human, Cyborg, Zabrak and Mirialan
  • Bounty Hunter – Chiss, Cyborg, Human, Zabrak and Rattitaki
  • Imperial Agent – Chiss, Cyborg, Human, Zabrak and Rattitaki
  • Sith Warrior – Human, Zabrak, Cyborg and Sith Pure blood
  • Sith Inquisitor – Human, Rattataki, Zabrak, Sith Pure Blood and Twi’lek

As you can see there is a fair amount of playable races per class in Swtor but it is a real shame not to see Duros and Wookies since those two races are both big Starwars races in my opinion.

Swtor Guide – Sith Inquisitor Class Progression

Last Friday Bioware released what is believe to be the last friday update, This update was about the Sith Inquisitor’s Class Progression, They also released a very nice video which you can view below if you have not already seen it. I’m sure that most of you see the Friday update on Swtor.com but for those of you that did not here is the video of the Sith Inquisitors class progression.

The last Swtor Friday Update…

Unfortunately this was the last Friday update that Bioware will be releasing for us but it is not a bad thing since Swtor itself will be replacing that excitement. No more waiting around on Fridays for big announcements about Swtor, We will also finally get to play the game by next Friday.

Of course Bioware do not want to stop the updates about the game there and instead of Friday updates they will be posting all new updates on their blog, which can be seen at the new Swtor Blog.

The new Swtor blog will not only be updated on Fridays, It will be updated with anything that the staff at Swtor have something important to tell the community. So that means that it can be updated anytime. The first few posts on the new blog are going to be re-posts from important issues discussed on the forums which you may have missed.

With news like this I know it very much feels like the end since we have all been doing the same stuff every friday, But the truth is it is only the beginning.

As always thanks for reading and may the force be with you.

Swtor Bounty Hunter Class Progression

I am sure you all see the video on the Swtor Bounty Hunter class progression last Friday.  I would just like to add my comments about the Bounty Hunter Class in Swtor. I already know which class I am going to play but everytime I see one of these new videos I must say I am tempted. Right now Swtor just has too many good looking classes to choose from. My mind is set on the Jedi Knight lol but I am sure that many of you are in the same boat as me, You know what you want to play but as new information on other classes are released you are always tempted to change you mind.

OK to the Swtor Bounty Hunter, Looking at Bounty Hunter video I can imagine a lot of people who will making Bounty Hunters. It has a mix that attracts a lot of players, I myself like classes that can take a good amount of damage but also give out a lot of damage. They are great classes to level solo with and are very useful in groups hence why I want to play a Jedi Knight.

I am sure that everyone will agree how powerful the Bounty Hunter looks. It also looks like a fun class to play, The skills all look good and they are fairly unique. Having the ability to fire missiles, lasers, rockets etc out of your wrist is certainly attractive. You just know that fighting with a Bounty Hunter will be a nightmare due to the amount of knockdowns and stuns they seem to have. Anything cool you can think of it seems the Swtor Bounty Hunter has the skills to fire it from their arsenal of gadgets. Bounty Hunters will be my worse nightmare since if I do play a Jedi Knight I can imagine a Bounty Hunter serving me my ass all day long.

I still have yet to play the game so I cannot say what skills other classes have to counter the Bounty Hunter but and ranged class with a good defense is always going to be a tough opponent. And last but not least the Jetpack lol. It looks like the Jetpack will provide the Bounty Hunter a way to increase the power of their rockets and also allow them to quickly get away from melee classes. If you have still not seen the video I will put it down below for you. So have a look and let me know what you think.

Swtor Guide – Swtor Sith Inquisitor Class Guide

The Sith Inquisitor in Swtor is one of the best looking classes in my opinion and has the skills and attack power to match these amazing looking armours, weapons and skills. Swtor Sith Inquisitors are basically the nukers of swtor meaning they can do huge AoE force attacks with massive damage which makes them quick killers and useful when fighting in groups. The Sith Inquisitor uses lighting retained in their two bladed lightsabers to give out huge damaging melee attack but most of the Sith Inquisitor’s damage will be done with force attacks from a far.

Group Sith 2 27 300x168 Swtor Guide – Swtor Sith Inquisitor Class Guide Sith Inquisitors wear darker robes than any other class in the game which is designed to show there dark and evil personalities, Their robes also allow maximum movement allowing the Sith Inquisitor to pull off some amazing acrobatics as well as being one of the fasted moving classes in the game. With such good acrobatics and speed the Sith Inquisitor becomes a very useful class with a lightsaber although their robes do not offer much in the way of damage protection, The player of any Sith Inquisitor will have to learn when it is a good idea to stay and fight or to back off and attack from distance.

The most used skill of a Sith Inquisitor will be force lighting! Sith Inquisitors have the skills to call down huge lighting storms on their enemies which have large damage over time and are also AoE. Another skill that the Sith Inquisitors have is the ability to drain their enemies lifeforce or use it to make their attacks even more potent.

After saying all of this great stuff about the Sith Inquisitors attacking skills you wouldnt be me if I went on to tell you that a Sith Inquisitor is also one of the games healer classes and will be needed in group combat for the empire because of their healing skills. You can play a Sith Inquisitor anyway you want really depending on how you set it up I have been told that the Sith Inquisitor has 3 skill trees which will be something like Healer, Melee DPS and ranged DPS. Which means you can have 3 types of Sith Inquisitor.

When the game is released in beta we will be able to further test the Sith Inquisitors skills to see how it can be effective as a healer or dps or even crossing the skill trees to have a little of both.

Known Abilities:

* Saber Strike – Melee attack, restores force points
* Shock – Direct Damage
* Lightning Hold – CC
* Whirlwind – CC and Damage
* Overload – Knockback and damage
* Lightning Drain – CC, restores force points
* Dark Meditation – OOC self heal
* Dark Gift – regular heal
* Unnamed Force Drain – damage enemy, heals self/allies
* Unnamed revive ability – revive other players
