Swtor Release Date And Pre-Order

Amazon.com has the 31st December as the release date for Swtor

At last some really good news for Swtor Guide fans around the world. You can now pre-order Star Wars The Old Republic. And when you do you will receive a code which you can redeem for early game access. Depending on which version you pre-order you will also get some other goodies. There are 3 Swtor packages that you can pre-order right now they include the Swtor Collectors Edition, The Swtor Digital Deluxe Edition and the Swtor Standard Edition. Each comes with 30 days play time included.

The Swtor Collectors Edition

The Collectors Edition is a tasty package but it costs $149.95 which may be a lot of money for some people and more than what most would like to spend on a game. You do get some nice extras with it but I myself being a big fan of Swtor still think that the price of the package is a bit much.

What Extras are in the Collectors:

  • Exclusive Gentle Giant Darth Malgus statue
  • Game disks collectible metal case
  • The Journal of Master Gnost-Dural as annotated by Satele Shan
  • The Old Republic galaxy map
  • Custom Security Authentication Key
  • Music of Star Wars: The Old Republic CD
  • High-quality Collector’s Edition box

And Digital Items:

  • Flare Gun
  • Training Droid
  • HoloDancer
  • HoloCam
  • STAP
  • Exclusive Mouse Droid
  • Exclusive Collector’s Edition Store

As you can see you get a lot for your money. The best looking bonus in my opinion is the Collectors edition store which is a item store that only collectors edition players can use. Right now no one knows what items you will be able to get from the collectors store.

I highly recommend you use Amazon to preorder since a lot of people have not been receiving their early access codes. Everyone I spoke to that used Amazon received their codes to redeem at Swtor.com. Also the quicker you pre-order the early you will be ingame. Since early access is being done in 3 waves. People who pre-order and redeem their early access code the fastest will be in the first wave of invites

The Swtor Digital Deluxe Edition

The Swtor Deluxe edition is the package that the average gamer would go for. Its priced In Between the standard and collectors edition and also comes with some bonus in-game items. The Deluxe edition is the digital version of Swtor and you can download it using Origin. I myself would like to get a physical version of the game. I can imagine that the size of Swtor will mean a huge download for those that choose to download the game rather than get a disk.

Extra Ingame Items:

  • Flare Gun
  • Training Droid
  • HoloDancer
  • HoloCam
  • STAP

Of course you get 30 days play time included in the package.

Swtor Standard Edition

There is not much to say about the standard edition of Swtor but it comes with the colour stone and 30 day play time that the rest of the packages come with and it will set you back $59.95. The Swtor Standard Edition for be for those that are skeptical about the game or people that simply do not have the money.

Please note: Amazon is coping the best with the surge of pre-orders for swtor. So I recommend you use them. Also they are producing early access codes for you to redeem staight away and other sites are not.

If the release date for swtor on amazon.com is correct then people who pre-order swtor and get early game access should be in the world of Swtor around Christmas time.

Thanks for reading and supporting Swtor Guide. It looks like the wait for Swtor is nearly over! roll on 31st December

Off Topic – Something To Do Until Swtor Arrives

This post is off topic please feel free to look though the rest of the site for the greatest information on Swtor.

If you need something to do until Swtor comes out then read on!

Even with all the excitement of Swtor being available for pre-order. I think many of us still need something to do with my free time whilst waiting for Swtor. Its been a long wait and I am sure many of you are still playing mmorpgs to pass the time until Swtor is released.Battlestar Galactica online game screenshot 8 300x197 Swtor Is Not Here Yet….

Problem I have is that I have played many mmorpgs recently and none of them really sticked with me. So I decided to find something else to play. I came across Battlestar Galactica Online which is a free to play in browser game. Now unlike most in browser mmorpgs Battlestar is 3D and is a actual mmo. Whats great is that its free and you do not have to download anything. You pilot a ship which you can customize and you can customize your character for play outside of the ship. The game-play is surprising deep and very fun. Its great to see that browser based mmorpgs have a bright future. Not having to download anything is a real nice feature.

So if you are looking for a great free to play mmorpg. Then I recommend you try out BGO. I know I will be playing it until I can start playing Swtor.

Its really addictive too click here to sign up

Swtor Bounty Hunter Class Progression

I am sure you all see the video on the Swtor Bounty Hunter class progression last Friday.  I would just like to add my comments about the Bounty Hunter Class in Swtor. I already know which class I am going to play but everytime I see one of these new videos I must say I am tempted. Right now Swtor just has too many good looking classes to choose from. My mind is set on the Jedi Knight lol but I am sure that many of you are in the same boat as me, You know what you want to play but as new information on other classes are released you are always tempted to change you mind.

OK to the Swtor Bounty Hunter, Looking at Bounty Hunter video I can imagine a lot of people who will making Bounty Hunters. It has a mix that attracts a lot of players, I myself like classes that can take a good amount of damage but also give out a lot of damage. They are great classes to level solo with and are very useful in groups hence why I want to play a Jedi Knight.

I am sure that everyone will agree how powerful the Bounty Hunter looks. It also looks like a fun class to play, The skills all look good and they are fairly unique. Having the ability to fire missiles, lasers, rockets etc out of your wrist is certainly attractive. You just know that fighting with a Bounty Hunter will be a nightmare due to the amount of knockdowns and stuns they seem to have. Anything cool you can think of it seems the Swtor Bounty Hunter has the skills to fire it from their arsenal of gadgets. Bounty Hunters will be my worse nightmare since if I do play a Jedi Knight I can imagine a Bounty Hunter serving me my ass all day long.

I still have yet to play the game so I cannot say what skills other classes have to counter the Bounty Hunter but and ranged class with a good defense is always going to be a tough opponent. And last but not least the Jetpack lol. It looks like the Jetpack will provide the Bounty Hunter a way to increase the power of their rockets and also allow them to quickly get away from melee classes. If you have still not seen the video I will put it down below for you. So have a look and let me know what you think.

Swtor Guide – Where Will Your Allegiance Lie?

Will you be a warrior for the republic or a evil servant of the empire…..

Well it all depends on what class you are going to play in Swtor since each class has its own faction or allegiance and right now there are two allegiances and two factions in Swtor. At this time it is hard to say how much these allegiances will affect what you have to do in the game but from what has been said I can imagine they will have a huge impact on what you can do ingame. Each allegiance has two force using classes and two other classes within them so lets take a look at these allegiances and factions.

The Galactic Republic – Swtor Guide

republic Swtor Guide – Where Will Your Allegiance Lie? The Galactic Republic is a allegiance for those players that will play on the light side of the force and also troopers and smugglers will be part of the republic. This might surprise you but the smuggler basically prefers the way the republic does things compared to the evil Sith Empire.

The Galactic Republic prides itself on freedom and individual rights everything they do is decided by the senate which is made up of thousands of star systems throughout the galaxy, Its all about democracy for the republic and this is how it has been for more than twenty thousand years. If you are planning to play a Trooper, Smuggler, Jedi Knight or a Jedi Consular then you will be playing for the republic which isn’t a bad thing since the planets you will be doing assignments on will be lighter and more beautiful than Sith players.

Faction – Jedi Order

The Jedi Order are the guardians of the republic and therefore their faction is aligned with the republic, Known as the peace keepers of  galaxy and are called in to handle disputes between other factions or in some cases even individuals. Being a Jedi ingame should be a amazing experience they are well know for their fighting abilities, Using force skills and lightsabers the Jedi is a worthy adversary for anyone.Jediorder Swtor Guide – Where Will Your Allegiance Lie?

The Jedi Order is led by a 12 Jedi Master council which makes decisions on what the Jedi should get involved in and where there efforts are most needed. It is likely that If you play a Jedi in Swtor you will be taking your orders from the Jedi council. So If you fancy fighting for the Lightside then the Jedi Order is for you.

The Sith Empire – Swtor Guide

empire Swtor Guide – Where Will Your Allegiance Lie?The Sith Empire are as evil as they come and are determined to dominate the galaxy and the emperor of the Sith has lived for more than 1.300 years!  If you are planning on playing a Imperial Agent, Bounty Hunter, Sith Warrior or a Sith Inquisitor then you will be fighting for the Sith Empire. The planets and areas of which a empire player will be exploring are looking very dark and crude and isn’t for those who enjoy brighter and more lively areas.

The Sith Empire is a dictatorship where basically whatever the emperor wants he gets, Determined to destory the Galactic Republic and the Jedi Order the Sith Empire will hire Bounty Hunters and use Imperial Agents to attack the republic and Jedi. If the Empire ever did gain control of the galaxy free people will be doomed.

Faction – Sith Lords

The Emperor himself is a Sith Lord and therefore ties this faction will the Sith Empire, Sith Lords include classes such as the Sith Warrior and Sith Inquisitor. Both of these classes in Swtor are looking amazing right now and have the skills and weaponry to go with it. The Sith Lords was once defeated by the Jedi Order in the great hyperspace war which has left them looking for revenge.sithlords Swtor Guide – Where Will Your Allegiance Lie?

The Sith Lords use anger as there main strength which combined with the dark side of the force makes them lethal combatants. Weilding two handed lightsabers and a massive use force lighting is what we have all been seeing from the Sith Lords. So if you are feeling a little bit evil and dont mind taking orders from an even more evil emperor, Then being a Sith Warrior or Sith Inquistor will be the path for you.

Swtor Guide – Swtor Sith Inquisitor Class Guide

The Sith Inquisitor in Swtor is one of the best looking classes in my opinion and has the skills and attack power to match these amazing looking armours, weapons and skills. Swtor Sith Inquisitors are basically the nukers of swtor meaning they can do huge AoE force attacks with massive damage which makes them quick killers and useful when fighting in groups. The Sith Inquisitor uses lighting retained in their two bladed lightsabers to give out huge damaging melee attack but most of the Sith Inquisitor’s damage will be done with force attacks from a far.

Group Sith 2 27 300x168 Swtor Guide – Swtor Sith Inquisitor Class Guide Sith Inquisitors wear darker robes than any other class in the game which is designed to show there dark and evil personalities, Their robes also allow maximum movement allowing the Sith Inquisitor to pull off some amazing acrobatics as well as being one of the fasted moving classes in the game. With such good acrobatics and speed the Sith Inquisitor becomes a very useful class with a lightsaber although their robes do not offer much in the way of damage protection, The player of any Sith Inquisitor will have to learn when it is a good idea to stay and fight or to back off and attack from distance.

468 Swtor Guide – Swtor Sith Inquisitor Class Guide

The most used skill of a Sith Inquisitor will be force lighting! Sith Inquisitors have the skills to call down huge lighting storms on their enemies which have large damage over time and are also AoE. Another skill that the Sith Inquisitors have is the ability to drain their enemies lifeforce or use it to make their attacks even more potent.

After saying all of this great stuff about the Sith Inquisitors attacking skills you wouldnt be me if I went on to tell you that a Sith Inquisitor is also one of the games healer classes and will be needed in group combat for the empire because of their healing skills. You can play a Sith Inquisitor anyway you want really depending on how you set it up I have been told that the Sith Inquisitor has 3 skill trees which will be something like Healer, Melee DPS and ranged DPS. Which means you can have 3 types of Sith Inquisitor.

When the game is released in beta we will be able to further test the Sith Inquisitors skills to see how it can be effective as a healer or dps or even crossing the skill trees to have a little of both.

Known Abilities:

* Saber Strike – Melee attack, restores force points
* Shock – Direct Damage
* Lightning Hold – CC
* Whirlwind – CC and Damage
* Overload – Knockback and damage
* Lightning Drain – CC, restores force points
* Dark Meditation – OOC self heal
* Dark Gift – regular heal
* Unnamed Force Drain – damage enemy, heals self/allies
* Unnamed revive ability – revive other players
